Musicue

As a part the Final Year Project (FYP), my team was task to design and prototype a wearable cue receiver device for performers with visual impairments and a cue trigger device for the ensemble conductor for use in Angklung ensemble performances.

Under the request of our client, Chulalongkorn University, our team conceptualized MusiCue, which is a cue trigger and cue receiver system designed for conductors to send cues to visually impaired performers to aid in their learning of music pieces. Through motion tracking and haptic technology, visually impaired performers would then be able to keep in time according to the music and the conductor's given cues from signals sent to the wearable device on their wrists. This would bridge the communication gap between conductors and the visually impaired performers, allowing them to "see" the conductors’ cues during training.
